OUR HISTORY
Our passion is sport, our mission is solidarity!
The Fondazione Mondiale Piloti per la Solidarietà Onlus is the evolution of the “Club Italia Piloti” founded in 1979 from an idea by director Mario di Natale and consolidated in 1981 thanks to the support of the team’s President, the great F1 driver Riccardo Patrese.
There have been so many pilots who have come and gone in our team over the course of 45 years; it would be impossible to remember them all, especially if we look back at the “heroic” days of our team. Here, however, is a list of the most representative: Vittorio Brambilla, Sandro Munari, Bruno Giacomelli, Fabrizio Barbazza, Andrea Montermini, Ayrton Senna, Andrea De Cesaris, Alessandro Nannini, Michele Alboreto, the Fabi brothers, Pierluigi Martini, Gianni Morbidelli, Jean Alesi, Elio de Angelis, Emanuele Naspetti, Mimmo Schiattarella, Adartico Vudafieri, Gigi Pirollo.
The charitable foundation that formed this group has found expression in the football matches that, over the course of over 45 years, have raised nearly €20 million to help the most disadvantaged and support scientific research.
Today, with important programs and the same enthusiasm as always, the World Pilots Foundation continues its journey. Thanks to the dedication of many pilots, it is possible to continue with determination towards new goals of solidarity in Italy and abroad.
OUR GOALS
In over 45 years of business, we have achieved many milestones, difficult to imagine at the beginning of this wonderful adventure.
